could be a clogged pick up screen or a bad oil pump.

before assuming it is a true reading, have the oil pressure checked manually first.

does the motor make noise while it goes to 0???

ok, the problem is confirmed. i would start by dropping the oil pan and checking the pick up screen for blockage from sludge from the oil pan

i just checked for tsb or recalls and none although i have seen this before and it most commonly was the pick up screen.
