The car will crank but it won't turnover I changed the cam sensor and the coil pack and still no spark, the fuel pump is good I tested that. So what could it be maybe the crankshaft sensor?

That is where I was going with it. The crankshaft sensors in these cars go out all the time. Here is a guide to help you see what you are in for when doing the job.

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/crankshaft-angle-sensor-replacement

Here is the location for your car crankshaft position sensor (below)

Please let us know if you need anything else to get the problem fixed.

Cheers, Ken

Hi. I have a 1997 Chrysler Concorde with a 3.5L engine. My car recently died while driving. I pulled over and started it back up, drove about a block and it died again. I was driving on E so I am pretty sure I ran out of gas. I initially put 2 gallons in it and tried to start it. But, it wouln't start. The next day I put another 3 gallons in it. When I turn the key it turns over but it will not fire. I bought some ignition starter spray and tried spraying that in to the air intake but it still would not fire. I opened my fuel line bleeder at the front of my engine and a little gas spurted out but not much. The next day I replaced the fuel filter and when I checked my bleeder there was noticeably more fuel pressure. Because I have pressure and I can hear my fuel pump turn on and run I don't think it is bad. My thoughts are right now that it's not getting a spark but I don't know why running out of gas would cause this? Also I have left my battery unhooked for more than a day in an effort to clear my CPU in case there was an auto shut off. My car still will not start but I don't have the money to take it in. What do you think?

So here is the latest, After several tests on various components, I replaced the fuel filter and my spark plugs, and got it running. However, in the process I some how cut the power to my power locks and power seat. Also my car likes to randomely die on me. It just cuts out which makes me think its electrical. I would expect it to sputter to death if it were fuel related. I am still diagnosing tese problems if anyone has any insight that would be fantastic. I am pretty darn sure it is not any of my fuses or relays. Also thanks very much to Rodimus-Prime for the advice. I don't know if it helped but I did try it.

Hi:
It sounds like a sensor or relay problem. You need to have the computer checked for codes. I think you find codes regardless of the light being off.

Let me know what you find.

Joe

Computer problem
1998 Chrysler Concorde 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

while I was driving the motor just stoped. I got it home, checked the crank and cam senser's there fine but no spark and no power to the injectors. I pulled the front cover off and found the timing belt was no good it had jumped out of time. Replaced it as per directions but still no spark or power to the injectors. The book say's ti has an automatic shut down built in to the p c m. Can it be rebooted? Or do I need a new pcm?
