Engine overheats even after repair to heater core

I have a 1997 chevy ventura van, yesterday overheated found out it was the lower heater core hose, the one that takes a special tool to take the hose off. well we replaced the hose, got all back together drove it yesterday no problem, now today I drove it and it overheating again?
