I have a 97 Chevy c1500 with a 305. I was driving down the road the other day and it just shut down without warning, typically it runs smooth. I noticed the fuel pump was getting loud so I replaced it and the fuel pump, it still won't start. It does seem to be a problem with the fuel management, I get plenty of spark, but I don't smell the gasoline. Yes there is gasoline in the tank, tank was 3/4 full when it shut down on me.

Go to the auto parts store and rent whats called a noid light unplug the injectors and plug the light in it's place and crank the engine over to start it the light should flash. You could also use a test light to check for injector pulse.Do you have a test light? Also do you have a multimeter? Also i would rent a fuel pressure gauge at the auto parts store.Screw it to the nipple on the fuel line going up to the injector rail. Then crank it to start it for 5 seconds and check the readings. Also do you have any trouble codes in the computer? We have to start by checking the basics first.

I went an bought an obd sensor to make things a little easier, the only code that came up was p0122.Throttle/pedal position sensor/switch a circuit low. I replaced throttle position sensor, still won't start, but now there is no codes. What should I do now?
