Has the check engine light come on? Is the fluid clean and full? You may have a problem with the torque converter or front pump. I need to know if there are any codes. Otherwise, it becomes a guessing game.

My concern is if the fluid was really dirty, there could be a problem with a clutch pack. Let me know what codes you pull. Hopefully, one will be a trans code with an easy fix.

It could be a solenoid, but that should have set a trouble code.
