Chevrolet Monte Carlo Brake lights Problem
Gear shift button won't push on sometimes, or is hard to push in , is this a problem with the electrical system or the transmission or something else?

make sure the brake lights work. that is what lets the interlock solenoid dis engage to let the shifter move
