In detail:I have a 97 cav that killed as it approached an idle.We thought it was the coils so the other owner decide to purchase new ones. The coils were replaced an the module with coils were put back on the car with the larger of the 2 module harnesses not attached.I replaced the the crank sensor an still no fuel or fire,an the the check engine light will flash for a second an go out.
Decide to take it to a shop an the tech told me before hand it sounded like a cam sensor,he wasn't getting a crank signal so he said he would have to change the timing chain an gears or it might be wire or whatever was picking up crank signal.I dropped the oil pan an cleaned the reluctor. It cost a few bucks for the test he performed with those wires unhooked.Cant test it again.Would appreciate any advice.
