97 Blazer trans valve body removal

The car was involved in a collision and now the trans plug is loose and I think may be broken or the seal is. Oil is leaking from around the plug the only way I can see to check it out is take the valve body out.

You just shold have to take the oil pan off the trans not the valvle body. What plug is leaking?

It is the electrical plug in the trans on passenger side of vehicle above the pan andall the shift wires plug into it it isnt in the pan itself

You still shouldn't have to drop the valve body to replace it. It has an O-ring around it to seal. If it's broke take it out from teh top but be careful to not damage any wires.I've makrked the part that you say is bad and it looks like the most you'll have to do is maybe pull the filter off and out of the way to replace that.
