Power steering and brake failure

Power steering and brakes stopped working while I was driving. Belt is intact. 1997 chevy astro van.

Did you lose these at the same time? This van uses a hydroboost brake system which uses power steering pressure to assist in braking. Most likely power steering pump failure. You would need a gauge set to test pressure from pump. Alot of the time the pump shaft breaks, This can be tested by removing belt and grasping pulley and pulling out, if pully comes out the shaft is broken.
