Hello,
If you have a laptop computer the there are plenty of option. I use ProScan and it has worked great for me. http://www.myscantool.com/
But guess it depends on what you are using x431 gx3 for, Personal or Business. If using for personal use then $1100+ is a little much for a scan tool. I use ProScan for business and it does everything I need.
