I was driving for at least 2 hours, as soon as I was turning onto my street, the steering got very stiff, it was very hard to turn the wheel, I didnt hear any noises coming from the car. I popped the hood as soon as I got in front of my house and checked the power steering, it was a little low so I put some in, turned the car back on waited a few min. And turned the wheel from left to right and nothing got better, even took it down the street to drive on it for a sec, when I get to the bottom of the street, the yellow battery light came on, so I went back home and its been turned off since, I cant see any leaks, its holding the fluids, the car maintained heat the whole time, I dont know what this could be.

No what would I be checking for, like if the belt is broken or what. Wouldnt that cause for it to overheat?
Where is the belt located?

If you can get codes from vehicle control modules it would help. There is a control valve system for he power steering that is speed related and regulates pressure to steering unit.
