REMOVAL PROCEDURE

Relieve the fuel system fuel pressure.
Drain the fuel tank.
Remove the fuel tank.
Remove the fuel sender assembly.

This is not a job you would want to attempt in your driveway. The whole fuel tank has to be removed to access the pump and that can be real messy with fuel in it.
