'97 OBD II Drive Cycles - Readiness Codes Reset

Hello,

I've got a '97 3.0 CL. Failed a smog test because an O2 sensor was bad. Had the sensor replaced and the CEL cleared. I've driven 100 miles since the repair was made, but 3 sensors are still not 'ready'.

What are the OBD II Drive Cycles for my car? I've looked everywhere and can't find the step-by-step list, all I've found are generic drive cycles for GM vehicles.

Thanks,
Aaron

The only thing I can find is it has to go through 50 drive cycles. That seems extreme.

Try this to see if it helps.

Automatic Transmission

Set parking brake, start engine in "P" or "N" position. Warm-up vehicle to normal operating temperature or until cooling fan cycles.

Allow vehicle to idle for one minute in "N" position. Select "D" and allow engine to idle for one minute.

Accelerate at normal throttle position (20-50%) until vehicle shifts into top gear.

Cruise at light to medium throttle.

Decelerate to a stop, allowing vehicle to downshift, and use brakes normally.

Process may be repeated as necessary.
