The bumper cover is held on by plastic clips, screws. If you look under the vehicle, you will see them. Next, in the wheel opening, there are screws that hold it in place. Finally, under the spare tire area are (I believe) two bolts that hold it on too.

If you want my honest opinion, remove the bumper cover with the aluminum steel internal bumper. It is much easier.

Let me know if you have other questions.

Thank you for the quick reply, Joe. The reason I asked about removing the front bumper is because I am going to replace the engine with another. I will also replace the CV joints, and clutch, pressure plate, throw out bearing, etc.

I have removed the screws from the inner fender, also the grill, and lights. I did see what looks like a push type fastener, but it doesn't seem to push/pull out. If removing the bumper with the cover attached is easier, I will gladly do that.

Should I leave the transmission in, or remove it with the engine? Any pointers for removing the engine?

Thanks again,
gr
