car won't start

1996 only starts when you pop the clutch otherwise it turns over but won't start

It sounds like a bad ignition switch. The switch sends electric to the ignition in both the run and start position. If it is bad, chances are no power is going to the ignition. Check this. See if you have spark when the engine is cranking with the key. I bet there is none. If there isn't two things need checked, the switch itself and the PCM.
