Replaced new thermostat and then car started to spit water out of the radiator but only when you turned the car off, temperature needle doesn't move all the time the only time the needle did move up to the H the radiator was fine wasn't hot didn't need water. I have no oil or fuel running round in my water, no milkshakey look under my oil cap no noises comming from under my bonet. Thought it was a faulty thermostat so removed that and it's still doing it. There is no leaks or water on the ground at all it only spits out about 1 liter of water and only when you pull up and turn the motor off.

The cap is pressure regulated. You might want to try a new one.

We've tried a new radiator cap, was wondering if it would be a blocked radiator?

If it's actually overheating it could be for any number of reasons to include combustion gases getting into the cooling system or air trapped in the system from not being completely full in the first place. Some extensive testing needs to be done to get a handle on what is triggering the release, whether it be too much heat or air pressure being introduced somewhere. A gas analyzer could tell you if you are getting any combustion gasses in the system.

OK so my mechanic can do that for me? I'm just hopping it's not a blown head gasket or a eaten out head as I can't offord the price for either of them and I really depend on my car as I have four children and three with special needs
