I am looking for a link to or instructions for removing an oil cooler from a 96 Saab 9000 CS turbo. The lines are producing a problem for us so any help would be very much appreciated.

REMOVAL

Raise the car, drain the engine oil and refit the drain plug.
Lower the car and detach the hoses from the oil cooler.
Remove the engine oil cooler.

NOTE: The lower securing bolts need not be removed, merely loosened.

INSTALLATION

Lower the engine oil cooler into place and align it onto the lower securing bolts. Do up the upper securing bolts first and then the lower bolts.
Connect the hoses to the oil cooler. Tightening torque 18 Nm (13 ft. Lbs.).
Top up the engine oil and check the level.

Good Luck

Roy
