Any applicable trouble codes? Have a helper crank it, while you check for spark at the plugs. If you have spark everywhere, use a gage and check fuel pressure. How long since a tune-up?

To check for spark, take a spark plug wire loose, use spark tester in plug boot. Ground/touch metal part of tester to metal part of engine. Watch for spark engine cranking.

Some of these makes and models, you can check for some codes, by cycling the ignition switch. You turn the key just till the dash lites come on, no further. Cycle the key, on--off, on--off, on, then the check engine lite starts flashing, you count the flashes to get the codes. Your looking for two digit codes.

It is possible. It could be a sensor issue?
