Raving problems on astra
My car wont rave, replaced fuel pump but still wont rave. used to have an idle problem where it used to go up and down by itself and sometimes cut off when u braking. now it wont rave up the 1 mark on the rave counter and am bugged by that. help out asap, need to have an idea before calling a mechanic or if problem can be fixed tell me how, am technical. raving problem what could be wrong. if you remove the spark plugs sometimes u see excessive fuel which has not been burnt. plugs are working perfect, don't know bout the distributor (1103872 part no. GM Opel Astra 1996 model). am stuck car is good don't wanna sell it for that. help out

Probable causes of an engine running rich are as follows:
1.Excessive fuel pressure can be cause by restricted fuel return line
2.Defective Oxygen Sensors.
3.Leaking injectors and fuel pressure regulator.
4.Coolant temperature sensor out of calibration.
5.Restricted air intake system.
