96 olds oil level sensor?
I have a 1996 olds aurora and it says oil level system fault. Also none of the gauges now work and oil and volt lite on. Oil pressure is normal. Would a faulty oil level sensor make the gauges go haywire?

Check the charging system could be a faulty alternator

Charging system is putting out 14.8 volts with no change. Just started the car to double check and now the oil and volt lights are off, temp and fuel gauge work but spedometer and tach are still pegged. This morning the gauges were jumpping up and down.
