1996 Nissan Maxima Won T Car Start Clicks Having Difficult Time Putting

Why won't my car start up...it clicks...having a difficult time putting in the key and turning it.....I replaced the battery,and a starter....not sure what's next...please suggest

Have you checked battery cables, grounds from the battery to the engine block...?
