Disconnect negative battery cable. Deactivate air bag system before performing any service operation. By disconnecting the negative and then positive battery cables. Cover the battery terminal so the cables doesn't touch the battery terminals once removed. Wait at lease one minute before proceeding to remove signal switch. Steer the wheel straight ahead. Remove the driver air bag retaining nuts (on the side of the steering wheel). Disconnect the wiring to the air bag assembly. Disconnect any cruise control switch wiring if applicable. Mark the steering wheel retaining nut (marking the nut that holds the steering wheel) so the steering wheel will go back on the same way it came off. You may need a special tool to remove the steering wheel
from the steering shaft. Remove steering column upper and lower covers. Disconnect combination switch electrical connectors. Remove turn signal switch screws. Remove turn signal switch. Let me know if you have any questions.
