My jeep is not shifting at all. It makes a horrible clanking sound when you try to shift. Since it is 4wd could it be the transfer case? It has not leaked anywhere. I am told it has a chrysler trans. It is a 4.0.engine. please help and thanks for your time.

Thanks a lot. If it would move I would take it to a trans shop. But it will not move. It is stuck where I can't get to it. At my age 15 miles is too far to walk. Have a great day.
