1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee Repair Question

My 96 jeep grand Cherokee drives and stalls and dont shift or go fast

Ever since I drove it in 4 wh drive it stalls and doest shift to higher gear

Start with a scan for any drive transmission related problem, check oil level and is it shifting back to 2WD?

check the shift linkage and see if its lose.the front hubslock by a vacuum servo under the hood.the front hubs may be stuck.
