Hey, I started up my lantra GLS today after not running it for two days. Went to take off up my driveway and the clutch seemed at half strength, it quickly degeneraded within a minute or so to have any gripping power, so I turned the car off, checked the clutch fluid, was full. I pumped the clutch for about a minute trying to see if it would prime it so to speak; whilst doing this it suddenly locked up at full retraction (out), not sure what to do or how severe the problem is, have hardly any money to fix. Any feedback would be appreciated :) thx. Z

Remove the slave cylinder and check the seals. If the seals are bad, you would need to have it replaced.
As to pedal at half strength ( I believe you mean low pedal height) it could be a failing master cylinder.

Thanks. The pedal height was fully normal it was just the slipping of the clutch, usually clutches take some time to wear out and wouldnt suddenly give way in my mind? I havent done anything like towed a caravan or put enourmous stress on it. So im still a bit confused on it, then following that for it to lock up/cease

just trying to gather ideas before I take action, thanks again mate.

Clutches don't slip suddenly but they can deteriorate without you noticing untyil when you try to accelerate hard. Then you would feel the slip. You need to get the hydraulic system working correctly before you can perform any testing.
