96 Hyundai Elantra airbag light flashes 5 times then stays on after starup. The check engine light is not on and the car has nevr been in an accident. Can I reset it with my OBD II scan tool?
Thank you.

Unless your obd2 scanner also does air bag system's then no you can't reset it. Most of them do not do the air bag system if the light is on every key cycle then you will not be able to reset the light anyways. Every key cycle the computer does a check on the air bag system if there is no fault's found the light will go out. You need to have your car scanned for air bag code's that would be a starting point. Working on the air bag system can be dangerous if your not careful and know what your doing. They also require special tool's to diagnose.
