Good Day,
I have recently bought a hyundai accent cc 1996, I have asked all the men in my life hoping one of them would be able to provide me with some idea of what is wrong with my car but to my luck no one could help.

My car starts off all good and sounding AWESOME but as I drive the car starts making a sqeaking noise and gets louder the longer the car drives, which sometimes will stop when I release the clutch or when im driving at a speed above 40km/h.
I have googled possibilities and I am still confused as each site says something else?
I would like to have this problem fixed as I am a young woman and cannot afford to get stuck on the side of the rode alone.

Some sites say it is the timing belt or thurst bearing?

Please help Which one is it?

Thank you for the help

If you push the clutch and it causes the noise sounds like a bad throw out bearing for your clutch.

The noise is there when I push the clutch in or when I drive slow in traffic and when my car is in neutral. The noise gets very loud at time and my boss can hear me before I am in the works parking? Its getting embarrassing

You said sometimes when you release the clutch the noise goes away so that's why I was saying could b the throw out bearing. Because when you release the clutch it takes the pressure off the throw out bearing. Your going to have to have someone listen for the noise with a really long screw driver up to there ear to listen to where the noise is coming from.

Lol if I were to compare the noise it sounds like the water pump's noise just 10 times louder and had the water pump replaced so its not that?

Alright so again your going to have to get someone to get a long screw driver to listen to different parts of the engine and transmission with screw driver up to there ear. Or a piece of vacuum line etc to narrow down where the noise is coming from. Its a noise I am not other to hear it or pinpoint it so I can only guide you. Also just because the water pump is new doesn't mean it can't fail. When I worked for the dealer I had plenty of new cars an newer cars to work on with failed parts. Sometimes right off the delivery truck from the factory.
