Holden Other Engine Problem
Will a 1998 chevy engine fit into my 1996 GMC?

It is possible but not likely as the computers are different and there would have to be modifications made to the engine wiring harnes. There is little information on this subject. The mounts might line up but it is the electrical issues that would make the swap a real hassle as compared to getting another engine.
