GMC Jimmy Transmission Problem
Can you install a valve body from a 1996 jimmy 4.3 trasmission to a 1998 jimmy transmission so you can bypass the different computer it looks like both transmission are using the same casing. thank you

Usuallly this is not a good idea. The best way to see if they are interchangeable is to have both numbers looked up at a GMC dealership as they are not likely to make two valvle bodies that can interchange. Valve bodies are very sensitive to spring and fluid pressure and any small change in a port will cause problems.
