1996 Ford Taurus Last 2 Days Heard Clicking Noise Everytime Would Slowly Turn

for the last 2 days i heard a clicking noise everytime i would slowly turn left around my front left wheel well.. yesterday i got in my car and when i put it from park to reverse it made a clicking noise and did not move it was in the i same front left wheel well area i tried nuetrul and drive and the engine would rev up to 30 mph when in drive but it would go nowhere all still with the clicking noise on the front left...when i put it back into park it made a grinding noise for a second then returned to normal the engine sounds great and i dont know if it is something that got disconnected or something more serious.. any idea on what the problem could be and how
much it would run me??? any help would be apprectiated
