Power Lock Problem

Only the drive's door switch does anything and that switch will only lock the doors, not unlock them. None of the other switches do anything.

The 96 has a sliding passenger door and the only other switch is on the front passenger's door.

I removed the rear door lock motor and applied 12volts to ground through it's terminals in both directions. The motor worked both ways.

I have a wiring diagram for the power locks from a 97 Econoline, if that helps.

Thanks,

More than likely you have an issue with the master window switch. The way we need to test this is check voltage coming out of the switch when you are pressing the buttons.

You will need a test light to find out if you have power or not. Here is a video that will help with using this:

Please use the wiring diagram below and press the unlock button and find out if you have voltage. If not, then you need to replace the switch.

Please run through this and let us know if you have questions and what you find with this. Thanks
