No start condition

The car has had an intermittent problem that currently is in a no start condition. The car has died while driving, only to restart. When the key is turned on now it doesn't appear to bring power to dash, radio, or windows. The engine does crank, but will not start. I suspected the ignition switch, and checking the wiring I have found that at the switch the 3 wires that should have 12 volts ( the yellow, brown, and green ) only the yellow and green do. At first the brown showed 5 volts, when I checked again, there was no voltage. The 2 ignition wires, brown/pink and pink/black, the pink/black has voltage with the key turned on, the brown/pink does not. Not sure if I should just replace the switch to see if that works. I'm not sure why the brown wire does not have power and if that is why the car is not starting

So you checked fuses I assume.

1ST THING I'D DO WOULD BE CHECK CONNECTIONS---'SPECIALLY THE BIG ONES.....SEE MY LINK

THE PIC I SHOW AT THE BOTTOM WAS ON A '85 JEEP CJ 7---HIS WOULD JUMP OFF AND RUN---WOULD ALSO GO DEAD FROM TIME TO TIME (I RECKON THE BATTERY WAS INTERMITTENTLY BEING CHARGED).

I DON'T KNOW THE REST OF THE HISTORY, I MET HIM AT A PARTS STORE, OFFERED TO ASSIST HIM AT MY HOUSE (IMMA CJ KINDA GUY MYSELF) HE WAS GETTING READY TO PAY A SHOP TO FIX HIM.

HE SORTA INSISTED HE HAD CHECKED EVERYTHING. THE "CRIMP" WAS THE BIGGEST EVIL FORCE AGAINST HIM. HE WOULDA BET HIS PAYCHECK THE CLAMPS/ WIRE WERE NOT THE PROBLEM.

NOW I HAVE A NEW JEEP PAL. SOON I WILL HELP HIM DO HIS OWN 1ST FULL TUNE-UP AND TEACH HIM SOME CJ STUFF. (I LIKE TO HELP AND TEACH FOR FREE---NOT DO IT FOR YOU AND GET PAID)
