The engine cut off and with further checking notice timing belt was broke, replaced timing belt car will fire but not start. I have checked the engine and do not find any problems with pistons and so on. What could make it not start? Timing is set right.

Sure would be nice to know the engine size. Suspect bent valves if it's an interference engine. A compression test will show that. A cylinder leakage test will identify which valves are leaking if compression is low.
