1996 Dodge Neon 1998 Does High Mileage Over 200k This Car Ideals Really

So I have a 1998 dodge neon it does have high mileage over 200k. This is my problem my car ideals really high always has when I put it in gear it stalls out I use to be able to get it to reverse or drive if I reved the gas. The car starts right up no problem but when I put it in gear it stalls out and dies. It will start right back up but won't go.
