My truck is stalling and backfiring while driving down the road. It will shut off and coast a little bit and turn back on. It jumps and backfires. This is more frequent in the a.M. But will in the afternoon when I get out of work and it has sat and cooled off for approx. 8hrs. I have code P0443. I have changed out the ignition coil, crankshaft position sensor, Idle Air Control valve, purge control solenoid valve, distributor cap and rotor, MAP sensor, gas cap, and spark plugs. Some times she runs perfect and like yesterday after work she shut off about 12 times. Idles ok but put it in gear and try to move. After she warms up then she runs better. Sometimes at the light she will idle good and then just shut off. I am stumped on this. Like I said sometimes she runs good and sometimes she doesn't.

Code 443 is a evap purge solenoid problem either wiring or it's hung open andcausing a vacuum leak so block off vacuum line going to it an dsee if truck runs better. Also check your fuel pressure with a gauge should be 44-54with engine idling. Iflow replace pump and filter.

I have already replaced the fuel pump about 4 months ago. I have taken off the line and it idled a lot better. I put in a new purge solenoid valve so I know it can't be the valve sticking. I will check the wiring. Thanks I will update on the situation after checking the wiring.

Check for a vacuum leak as well and then check engine compression as it may be abad cylinder. Also check fuelpressure as it may be to high regardless if you replaced the pump. There is a regulator that can go bad as well.
