Transmission won't shift out of second gear and the fluid level is fine?
Transmission sat for awhile as it was used. I installed it in another truck and now it doesn't shift out of second gear. It did work fine.

Make sure the linkage is adjusted properly. Have it scanned for soft codes.

where do I get it scanned? The nearest dealership is 28 miles away. Or any other garage as far as that goes.

Some parts stores will loan scanners.
