Why is it when I put gas in my truck that after a few minutes of driving it will start to backfire, act like it doesn't want to go and try to die?

It only seems to do this each time I put the gas in and I've purposely gone to a different station each time for the past 4 times I've gotten gas. By the time I finally make it to my destination and I turn it off and it sits for approx. 20 to 30 minutes, it will drive fine after that.
