The engine is rebuilt for a street rod and is installed. Can anything be done to drill the port without removing the engine?

I would recommend an electric fuel pump. Is there a reason why you want a mechanical one? As far as drilling the port, you will get metal shavings in the engine.

hey i got a wild idea? magnetize the drill bit so the shavings stick to it and clean it often? throw some magnets in oil pan for extra measure?
