CHEVROLET TAHOE BRAKES PROBLEM

1996 Chevrolet Tahoe • 95,000 miles

Replaced front brakes; new calipers, lines and pads. After using brakes a few times, caliper piston is not receeding causing the pads to drag, rotors heating up and shake in steering wheel.

Next time they start dragging, loosen the steel lines at the master cylinder to see if they release. Lets hope they don't. If they do, suspect the brake fluid is contaminated with a petroleum product. If they don't release, open the bleeder screws on the calipers. If they release there, suspect a restriction in the rubber flex hoses.
