I have a 1996 chevrolet tahoe 4x4 5.7 w/ac. My ac compressor went out and broke my serpentine belt. I baught a new belt and bypass pulley, how do I put the pulley on do I take bracket for compressor off or attach it to the bracket itself. The bolts that came with the pulley dont fit any where and it seems like its in the same spot as the compressors pulley was but the belt is shorter because of the bypass pulley help please

Remove the compressor and it should mount to the existing bracket. Based on the manufacturer, they are different. Mount it so that the pulley is in line with the others. The smaller belt is a result of location or pully size.
