Truck will not start on it's own ! If i put a lil gas in throttle body then will start an run on its own but no quick throttle response

If you prime it a little, it will start and stay running? What is litre size of engine? If you have the spider fuel system, it is known for problems. Use a gage and check fuel pressure.
