i got a 1996 chevy silverato 1500 that gets gas to the engine but wont start

hi i cant get my truck to start but gas is getting to the engine would it not start because it needs new spark plugs

check for spark, scan for codes and check fuel pressure.

You will have to check spark to 2 cylinders check injector pulse and fuel psi to start

You can get a code reader @ Walmart or auto zone there not very expensive . There is a 16 pin connector on the drivers side under the dash bord. @ this point we should be checking ecu codes. Auto zone might read them for free let me know how you make out

Test for spark @ the coil tower first. If no spark there check for 12 volts on the pink wire on the coil with key on and cranking. If on 12 volts there check the ecm fuse 20a under hood. Fuse box. If there is 12 volts there check for 12 volts on the white w black other side of the coil connector key on and cranking. See if it is pulsing 12 volts use a test light. If its flashing on and off and there in no spark out the coil tower replace the ignition coil. Hope this helps .
