I have a 1996 chevy lumina 3.1 engine there is a funny noise in engine and when the heat is on there is a smell

I kinda need some more info, like what does it sound like? When does it happen? But at this point the best thing for you to do is make sure all of your fluids are topped off. Especially coolant and oil. Because that is the first impression im getting when you say funny noise and smell
