1996 Chevrolet Beretta Repair Question

When i start it. It turns over.. but it only runs for a few secs. then it dies
When i start it, it truns over. then it runs for 5-6 secs. then dies..
it Idles under 1oooRPM and motor shakes,,,
it just start backfires throught the intake
Just really want figure this out

can you keep it running? sounds like it's too lean. vacuum leak or weak fuel pump maybe.
