I have a 96 buick roadmaster estate wagon with the lt1 350. Im having problems with the coolant system. It says it needs special coolant and it needs to be at 15 psi. My question is what type of coolant and how do I get it to psi?

The coolant it takes is called dexcool. The 15psi is provided by the radiator with the tightly fitting cap. I recommend flushing the system with radiator cleaner then clean water till it runs clear.

It takes what is called gm dex-cool the 15psi just refers to operating pressure of the cooling system also the pressure the coolant cap will vent at. So what kind of cooling system issues are you having?

It's just running hot and apparently I'mnot using the right coolant and need to flush it. I just baught it on the 11th and the guy told me that it would need a radiator flush, but it's been running hot and boiling over so I got a new thermastat but it's still running hot and has a hard time cooling.
