Why is my car burning oil and smoking alot
I have a jetta with a 12v obo2 vr6 and its smoking a lot of blue smoke. It also has oil residue around the back of the car. it is sucking oil threw the valve cover i think because i took the intake manifold off and it dripped oil out of it so i know its not rings or valve seats. I just dont know what it could be and if there is a way to bypass the pcv system coming out of the valve cover if it is the problem? Thank You!

do a wet and dry compression test to verify rings. valve seals usually stop when hot. check your pcv valve as well.

The compression is good in all cylinders and it smokes all the time no matter how i drive and no matter if the engine is hot or cold. it smokes more when i give it gas. Would valve seals make it have more of a vacuum threw the valve cover?

Yes, the valve seals can cause this if they dried out.
