It runs like crap when you hit a water puddle but after a couple of days it runs fine. My brother says he put a new distributor cap but I dont no whats wrong with it. Also the battery doesnt seem to charge, I took the battery in and they said it was fine.

This will be an electrical problem with something getting wet after hitting a puddle, so I would be checking all ignition connections for damaged boots check leads are sealed and check under cap for moisture, start here.

I ckecked out the boots and leads they seem fine. Im thinking something is exposed and water gets in and causes it to miss and start to die out but I dont know where to look.

Yeah today I worked on it all day and I could not find anyhting wrong, the distributor cap and wires, plugs are fine. I was wondering what else could cause it to ground out and miss fire when I hit a mudd puddle.
