I have never heard of a 5 cylinder Landcruiser engine. Can you provide the engine code?

I guess you must be refering to the PZ engine, a diesel. We do not have any information in our database for this engine and Toyota temperature sending units are located around the thermostat area. Check the upper radiator hose to where it connects to the angine and it should be there.

KHL, thanx much for your response. But at that position where the upper radiator horse connects wth the head, there isnt a provisional position. Or could it be on the block, somewhere

It should be on the cylinder head and somewhere nearby. Can you see the thermostat housing? Check around it. A one wire connection.
