Toyota Avalon Smoke Problem
Today my car had trouble starting, and then I finally got it to go. It was jerky at first but then evened out. Then about 5 miles down the road the check engine light came on, and then about one mile further smoke began to come out of the passenger side hood. What do you think it is?

What I recommend is to have the computer scanned to identify what trouble code has been set. As far as the smoke, make sure nothing is getting hot enough to catch fire. As far as having the computer scanned, most parts stores will do it for free.
