So my battery is brand new, but when i went to turn it over this morning all that happened was the solenoid was clicking rapidly. when I turned on my lights and tried to start my vehicle the lights did not dim, this is making me think it is not the battery. Any ideas?

Check the battery terminal and ground circuits. Ensure they are clean and tight. Have the starter and ignition switch tested.
Rapid clicking indicates insufficient battery voltage. Have the alternator tested as well. check the battery voltage, it could have been drained.
